Five April Tips (for busy gardeners)
- Finish cleaning up any garden debris that harbor insects and diseases.
- Fertilize: Take advantage of April showers to help distribute the food to the roots.
- Weed your garden beds: The soft moist soil makes the job much easier.
- Amend your soil for better summer blooms.
- Set out summer vegies, annuals and perennials
Don’t fertilize azaleas, rhododenrons, or camelias now. Wait until after they have finished blooming.
